Member of Hungary's World Cup squad in 1954, winning the "Golden Shoe" as the tournament's top scorer.

The 1979/80 Sun Soccercard (using the name "Sandor Koscis") notes: "Sandor has a remarkable scoring record for Hungary. Seven times he scored three or more goals in a match for his country in a total of 75 games. Played in both the matches in which Hungary beat England, 6-3 and 7-1 in the 1953/54 season. Koscis scoring twice in the second match. In the 1954 World Cup Finals he scored 11 goals. In one spell of three seasons in Hungary with his club he scored 99 goals".

Swansea Town (213), Hereford United. Killed, along with Brian Purcell, in a car crash en route to an away game.

The 1966/67 A&BC Chewing Gum card notes 'Swansea Town right back. A fast, sure-tackling full-back, Roy is another brilliant player to emerge from the Vetch Field Youth Scheme. He gained Under 23 honours after only eight appearances in league football, but has only represented the full Welsh side on one occasion so far. Height 5' 7". Weight 11st. 3lbs."
