Tower Press Tower Press manufactured mainly jigsaw puzzles, so who knows what they were doing with football player transfers in the mid 60s! However, we are glad that they tried as these are very attractive transfers. Apparently Tower Press were later taken over by Waddingtons, who no longer exist either.
1966/67
Famous Football Clubs. A visitor recently game across this very attractive set of transfers from around 1966. The sheet of 24 was produced ('Made in England') by T.P.

The advertising poster suggests that this set is the '1st series', so perhaps there were others produced?

The 24 teams on this sheet are: Arsenal, Benfica, Birmingham City, Cardiff City, Dundee, Falkirk, Fulham, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian, Ipswich Town, Juventus, Leeds United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Plymouth Argyle, Queen of the South, Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Sunderland, The Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion.

On another sheet of 24 are: Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Burnley, Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Coventry City, Dumbarton, Dunfermline Athletic, Everton, Grasshoppers Zurich, Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Limerick, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, Preston North End, Queens Park, Sheffield United, Standard Liege, Stirling Albion, St. Johnstone, West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Does anyone else spot a Scottish bias here (11 out of 48, but no Celtic!)?
