The Brooke Bond Company was formed in 1869, and continued until 1968 when it merged with the Liebig Company to form Brooke Bond OXO. In 1988 Brooke Bond OXO merged with Bachelors to form Brooke Bond Foods. The company is now part of the Unilever Bestfoods UK group (information from http://www.brookebond.co.uk/about/heritage.asp). Brooke Bond issued picture cards in packets of tea from 1954 to 1999, during which time it issued 55 sets in Britain.
