FKS World Cup Soccer Stars - Mexico 70
West Germany West Germany were dominant in Group D, racking up wins over Morocco 2-1, Bulgaria 5-2 and Peru 3-1. In the Quarter-Finals they beat England 3-2 in that classic game. In the Semi-Finals they lost 4-3 to Italy in a yet more classic thriller. They had an excellent tournament, scoring 16 goals in 5 games, and were perhaps unlucky not to make it through to the Final. Gerd Muller scored 10 goals, including two hat-tricks. Scorers: Muller (10), Seeler (3), Libuda, Beckenbauer, Schnellinger. |
