Nigel's season summary: After completing the League and F.A. Cup double in 1960/61 Tottenham had a run of great success, always finishing in the top 8 in the League up to and including 1968/69 when they finished 6th. In the 1970s they enjoyed less success, culminating in relegation to Division Two in 1976/77.

Football great who began with Chelsea in 1958, then transferred to Milan for a difficult stay. Moved to Spurs in 1961 for a fee of 99,999. Scored 220 goals in 321 league games for Tottenham. He stayed at Spurs for 472 league appearances until a 1977 transfer to Arsenal where he then made another 237 league appearances. See also: Speedy winger who began playing with Swansea in 1952, then transferred to Tottenham in 1955. Made 314 league appearances before a transfer to Fulham in October 1968. Part of the Kinnear-Knowles pairing, signed professional in 1965. Made 189 league appearances in 10 years before a transfer to Brighton. Tough Scotsman signed from Hearts in 1959. Made 268 league appearances for Spurs before moving to Derby County in July 1968. Moved to Swindon as player-manager, then back to Derby as manager. Fulham career from 1958 to 1963 before a move to Tottenham. Made 312 league appearances for Spurs before returning to Fulham in 1972. Totaled over 670 league appearances in a splendid career. Joined Tottenham from St.Mirren in 1964 for 23,000. Moved to Arsenal in October 1968, then to Ipswich, Stoke, Walsall and Crewe.
