Later moved back to Southampton, then 5 more clubs, for a total of over 700 league appearances.	Career began with Chester in 1959, before moves to Luton and Norwich. Moved to Southampton in August 1966 for a £55,000 fee. Over 200 appearances before a 1973 move to Portsmouth. Later swapped with 2nd Division Man. Utd. for George Graham.	Scotsman signed from Blackpool for £35,000 in March 1967. Made almost 300 league appearances for the Saints before a March 1977 transfer to Southport where he took over as Manager.	Scotsman signed from Kilmarnock in December 1965. Made only 48 league appearances for Southampton.	Scotsman signed by Everton from Dundee in 1960. Made over 250 league appearances before being signed by the Saints in July 1967. Appeared 190 in the league for Southampton before a transfer to Bournemouth in 1972.

Another Scotsman who played his entire English league career with Southampton between 1961 and 1972.	Signed from Bradford Park Avenue in June 1965. 79 league appearances for the Saints in a 5-year spell before a transfer to Cardiff City.	Began with West Ham in 1957. Moved to Chelsea in March 1966, then to Southampton in February 1968. Over 150 league appearances for the Saints in a career which finished in 1973.	148 league appearances for Bury from 1956 to 1961, then 169 appearances for Newcastle until his February 1968 move to Southampton. 167 league appearances for the Saints. Later moved into management roles.	Yet another Scotsman in the Southampton side. Signed from Dunfermline in March 1967, made 246 league appearances for Southampton until 1974.

True legend of the game who made 709 league appearances for the Saints between 1957 and 1974. Then transferred to Hererford where he made another 106 league appearances.	Tottenham player well-known for scoring in the 1967 Cup Final win over Chelsea. Joined Southampton in January 1968 but had short spell before a move to Q.P.R. in May 1970.	Long-term Saints player with 341 league appearances between 1956 and 1970. Moved to play with Aldershot in March 1970.	Joined Southampton from Burnley in May 1965. Made 189 league appearances for the Saints in a career lasting until 1973.
