Nigel's season summary: After a 2nd place finish in the League in 1966/67 the Forest started a period of lean years. In 1968/69 Nottingham Forest finished 18th. They were relegated from Division One in 1971/72.

Liverpool-born Scotsman who played for Hibernian before a transfer to Torino in 1961. Moved to Arsenal in 1962 then Nottingham Forest in March 1966. Moved to Sunderland in 1969 before returning to Scotland. Joined Forest in 1964 from Arsenal and made over 170 appearances before a transfer to Sheffield United in 1970. Later moved into management before ending up as Chief Executive of the League Managers Association. Scot who joined Sunderland from Glasgow Rangers in 1965. Moved to Forest in December 1967 for 100,000. Returned to Rangers in 1969. Bob (Sammy) Chapman was a Forest player from 1963 until 1977, with over 350 appearances. Transferred to Notts County in 1977. Joined Forest in 1960 and made over 300 appearances in the team until his January 1970 transfer to Sheffield Wednesday.

Keeper who made only 3 league appearances in his whole career, unfortunately conceding 15 goals (0-3, 1-6, 1-6). Welsh star who joined Forest from Birmingham in 1965 for 50,000. Moved to Derby County in early 1970 before finishing career in 1972. Now lives in Australia - smart man! Scotsman who joined Newcastle in 1962 from Third Lanark for 30,000. Joined Forest in December 1967 for 25,000. Moved to South Africa in 1970 - not sure? Forest stalwart who made over 350 appearances between 1961 and 1973. Moved to Coventry in January 1974 then to Peterborough in 1976. Son of a pre-war Forest player. League debut with Rotherham in 1963. Transferred to Forest in 1966 for 45,000 where he made over 200 appearances. Moved to York City in 1973 for 12,000.

Joined Forest in 1949, making league debut in 1951. Legendary player who made over 611 league appearances for his only club before retirement in 1969. Also known as Ian Storey-Moore. Joined Forest in 1961 and made 235 appearances before transfer to Manchester United in March 1972. Injuries forced his early retirement. Forest player from 1963 to 1970 with over 280 appearances. Transferred to Everton in October 1970 then later to Derby County. Manchester United player from 1951 until a November 1957 transfer to Grimsby Town. Stayed only 8 months before being picked up by Forest where he made over 250 appearances in a stellar career. Retired in 1968. Over 350 appearances in career with Forest from 1962 to 1974. Moved to Peterborough in July 1974.
